For beach fishing in Abersoch the Southern end is a flat, clean, sandy beach, which is northeast facing and generally sheltered. It is best fished on a good spring tide, the very best being if low water coincides with dusk. The beach can be very busy during the summer months during school holidays but often evenings are quieter and autumn, winter and spring times are great for fishing.
From Abersoch take the Sarn Bach road, do not turn left in Sarn Bach but take the next left signposted Bwlchtocyn. Follow this road for ¾ mile and turn left signposted Porth Tocyn Hotel. Follow this road until you see a left turn down a steep hill which is signposted Traeth/Beach, at the bottom of this hill is car parking and the beach.
